Rodrigo out until 2016

Valencia will be without Rodrigo Moreno until at least the New Year after it was confirmed the forward has partially torn his posterior cruciate ligament.

AS notes that Rodrigo isn’t expected to need surgery to fix the damage and could be back within two-and-a-half months, although a longer absence of three months is also speculated.

Rodrigo was injured in Sunday’s defeat at Atletico Madrid and tests following the trip to the capital confirmed the extent of the injury.

Valencia have opted against sending the player under the knife, instead preferring what is described as a ‘conservative’ approach to treatment.
