Sanabria blow for Sporting

Sporting Gijon have been dealt a pre-Granada blow with confirmation that Antonio Sanabria faces six weeks out with a thigh injury.

Marca reports that the Roma loanee opted out of training with Thursday after he felt discomfort in his leg, and MRI scans performed a day later have since revealed a second-degree tear in his left quadriceps muscle.

Sanabria only joined the new boys in the summer but has already established himself as their primary striker, scoring twice in six appearances.

On the flip side, Ivan Cuellar should be back in goal for Monday’s trip to Los Carmenes after seemingly overcoming his knee problems.
