Nuno lauds ‘polished’ Valencia

Nuno Santo lauded Valencia’s “very polished” approach to their 3-0 victory over Malaga in La Liga on Saturday.

Charles’ own goal, followed by strikes from Andre Gomes and Dani Parejo, the latter converting a penalty, sealed a welcome win for Los Che, and the Coach commended his players for performing their tasks diligently.

“It wasn’t an easy win, but we were very polished in how we earned the three points,” he said after the game.

“The work of the whole team was decisive in us getting the result [Gomes’ goal and Domenech’s penalty save aside].

“I saw a very good first half, in which we were superior, but in the second half Malaga made us work more, although they didn’t threaten us.

“[On the disagreement between Parejo and Paco Alcacer over the penalty], the most important thing is that it was a goal.”
