Marcelino relishing Celta tussle

Villarreal boss Marcelino says he expects “a very attractive but also very difficult” match when Celta Vigo come to town on Sunday.

The Yellow Submarine fell to their first League defeat of the season a fortnight ago against Levante but can resurrect their one-point lead atop the table with victory over the Galicians, who are also flying high in fourth.

“I expect a very attractive but also very difficult match against Celta,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“We must be very focused and play at a high level if we want to win.

“We come from a defeat and are playing at home. They’re a direct rival and that obliges us to win.

“If we win, we’ll move four points clear [of Celta], and that will increase our confidence and allow us to continue with our positive dynamic.

“[On Bruno Soriano’s availability], we must wait and see if he’s fit enough for the game.

“[On his renewal], this is football and both parties have to reach an agreement.

“If so, that’d be very good as it’s an ideal place to work, but I don’t think it’s a priority right now.”
