Neymar has reminded the supporters who jeered the team against Bayer Leverkusen that the club is stronger with everyone pulling together.
The Brazil international has spoken to Mundo Deportivo and the newspaper raised the issue of fan discontent, with Barca back at Camp Nou this weekend for the visit of Rayo Vallecano.
“I was surprised, to be honest. We don’t like it when there are whistles,” he said, after the team was targeted as they trailed Leverkusen, eventually winning with two late goals.
“It’s part of football but we were very sad about it, because we try to do everything to win for Barcelona.
“I’d ask that the fans are with us as they were last season. That they believe until the last minute. If they are with us, we’re stronger.”
