Modric to miss Levante visit?

Luka Modric is reportedly Real Madrid's latest casualty after being tipped to miss Saturday's visit of Levante in La Liga with a thigh injury.

The midfielder was substituted at half-time of Croatia's 3-0 victory over Bulgaria in Euro 2016 qualifying on Saturday as a precaution, but their team doctor has now confirmed a minor oedema in the player's right leg.

“Luka underwent an MRI scan, which showed a small oedema. He won't be available for the Malta game,” Boris Nemea is quoted as saying by Marca.

Modric is expected to return against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League next week but nonetheless becomes the second Blanco after Karim Benzema to pull up during the international break.
