Barcelona technical director Robert Fernandez has discussed proposed winter signings Philippe Coutinho and Nolito, of Liverpool and Celta Vigo.
Rumours have long linked Barca with Nolito, Luis Enrique having worked with the forward at Celta and in Barca’s B team, and Coutinho has recently been touted as a winter purchase.
“Coutinho is a great player, with a great condition, but we have a lot of playmakers,” Robert said in an appearance on SER, Marca reports.
“But, it isn’t easy to find players who are capable of playing for Barca.
“Nolito? He’s a great player, part of the national team. I don’t want to talk too much about him because it can create problems when a player is under contract to another team.
“He’s there and it could happen, but he’s a Celta player. I haven’t spoken either to Nolito or his representative.”
