Neymar is in no rush to renew his Barcelona contract as reports claim he first wants to clear up the legal issues surrounding his 2013 move to Camp Nou.
The Brazil captain’s contract runs until 2018 and Barca have made noises about an extension, although with three years remaining on the terms they haven’t opened negotiations.
Mundo Deportivo say Neymar is in no hurry as there is plenty of time left on his existing contract and legal concerns in his homeland are taking precedence.
Both Neymar and his father recently had their assets frozen by Brazilian authorities and there has also been an investigation into the transfer by the Spanish authorities.
Neymar is said to have made it clear he won’t talk about a contract renewal while the situation remains as it is.
