Victor ‘frustrated’ after Granada draw

Victor Sanchez was “frustrated” with Granada’s equaliser on Saturday but nonetheless praised Deportivo La Coruna for a strong away showing.

Depor were forced to settle for a point as Faycal Fajr’s first-half opener was cancelled out by Piti just after the hour mark, but the Coach felt he could draw positives than negatives out of their trip to Los Carmenes.

“We’re happy with the result, but we feel two points escaped us because we controlled the game,” he said after the game.

“We failed to abide by football’s law of effectiveness as we missed some very good chances to score the second goal.

“We gave very little away defensively, which makes the goal we conceded frustrating, but I’m pleased with our line of work.

“Our results show that we’re comfortable away from home.

“The team are very much aware that the way forward is to work hard and show the desire to improve and grow because nothing can be achieved with 12 points and our current position is entirely circumstantial.”
