Victor wary of Granada threat

Victor Sanchez has urged Deportivo La Coruna not to read too much into Granada's recent results ahead of Saturday's meeting between the two sides.

Depor have won back-to-back matches and are riding high in La Liga, in stark contrast to the rock-bottom Andalucians, but the Coach believes his side's upcoming opponents deserve to be higher in the table.

“They've struggled to get results, but we're not reading too much [into their form],” he said at a Press conference.

“They had a very, very good match against Valencia and the result didn't do justice to what happened on the pitch.

“I expect an intense match, but my players have trained well and are prepared for anything which comes their way.

“The word 'euphoria' doesn't exist in our dressing room because there's no reason for it.

“We believe that the best way to keep our place in the top flight is by creating a team who are competitive, courageous and will fight in every game, and that's what we're trying to do.

“We won't look at the table or any other challenges because our only challenge is to get three points in every game.

“[On Jonas Gutierrez], everyone who arrives adds to our dynamic. He's in very good condition but will only play when I deem it appropriate.”
