Beckham singles out Morata, Neymar

David Beckham named Alvaro Morata and Neymar as two of the players he most appreciates, and didn’t back Real Madrid for the Champions League.

AS notes that the former England captain did suggest three of his other former teams could win the competition – including Milan, who haven’t even qualified.

“Who I want to win the Champions League is a different story to who I think is going to win…or maybe it’s not actually,” he told Sport360.

“I’m going to have to say Man United, Paris Saint-Germain and Milan…one of those three I’d like to see win but when you’re in the Champions League you realise how hard this competition is to win.”

Asked about individual players, Beckham highlighted ex-PSG teammate Marco Verratti along with former Madrid striker Morata and Barcelona’s Neymar.

“Who do I like to watch? Ignoring the usual suspects, you know, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, I think Morata is an exciting player,” he revealed.

“Verratti for PSG, I played with him and he’s such a great and talented player. And, of course, Neymar. There are a lot of good players out there but if I had to choose, it’d be one of those.”
