Benitez: Ronaldo has no limits

Rafa Benitez believes Cristiano Ronaldo has what it takes to write more history after his record-equalling exploits for Real Madrid against Malmo on Tuesday.

Ronaldo scored his 500th career goal and matched Raul Gonzalez's record of 323 Madrid strikes thanks to his brace in Sweden, and the Coach was understandably full of praise for the forward after the Champions League outing.

“I think I said [his place in the team] was unquestionable before the game, and [on Tuesday] he proved it again,” he said.

“Hopefully there are no limits to what Cristiano can achieve. [His feat deserves] merit and value,” he said after the game.

“I'm very satisfied with the result. The decision to use players who had enjoyed fewer minutes was a positive one as it confirmed our good work in training. Everyone showed their level and quality.

“We had almost 75 percent of possession, and I'd rather we didn't give the ball away at times, but a Coach is forever unsatisfied.

“The two or three times that [Malmo] delivered balls into our box could have been avoided.”
