Iker Casillas insisted he was delighted for the team after Porto beat Chelsea, not because he had gotten one over Jose Mourinho.
Casillas and Mourinho were not on the same page during their time together at Real Madrid but they did greet each other ahead of the match at the Dragao, which the home side won 2-1.
“I greeted Mourinho. Offering your hand is what gentlemen do,” Casillas said, AS reports, while Mourinho for his part said the ill-feeling between the pair was for football reasons and not personal.
“It’s been a long time. You can’t live in the past and I don’t live in the past.
“I’m not happy for winning against Mourinho, I’m delighted for the win for the team.”
Casillas also surpassed Xavi Hernandez’s Champions League appearance record in the victory.
