Reports in England suggest Jose Mourinho will make a January approach to Barcelona for right-back Dani Alves.
A fee of €19.7m [£14.5m] is mooted by the Metro, who cite sources in Spain that say the former Real Madrid Coach would like Alves at Stamford Bridge.
Branislav Ivanovic has been Mourinho’s first choice on the right side of defence since he returned to the London club, but the Serbian’s form has been criticised amid Chelsea’s stuttering start to the season.
The Premier League champions are also again linked to Valencia’s Jose Gaya as an option at left-back, but are expected to baulk at paying his release clause, currently set at around €50m.
