Enrique: Rotation paid off

Luis Enrique believes his decision to rotate the Barcelona team for Sunday’s visit of Levante in La Liga paid dividends after his side won 4-1.

The Coach rung the changes for the visit of the Andalucians, with Munir El Haddadi’s inclusion prompting a tactical switch from a 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1, but he was delighted with the manner in which his four attackers combined.

“I’m very happy as we showed [we could win with] different resources,” he said after the game.

“In 22 days, we will play seven games, so the players need rest and minutes must be distributed.

“[On using a 4-2-3-1], it’s always been an option. We have the ability to change [our team] and take advantage of what we think is [the] best [way to play].

“We knew we’d play against a line of five [at the back], and we created chances with these players [the four in attack].

“Levante counterattacked quite well in the first half and had players who could hurt us.

“[On another Marc-Andre ter Stegen misjudgement], I wouldn’t be worried if it was another goalkeeper. He’s full of confidence.

“[Forthcoming opponents Celta Vigo] are one of the most entertaining teams to watch, not only in Spain but in Europe.”
