A report from Spain suggests Barcelona midfielder Rafinha will miss the rest of the season after a serious knee injury against Roma.
Marca say the newly-capped Brazil international has damaged anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments and will undergo surgery.
Rafinha reportedly underwent an examination on Thursday morning after suffering the injury on Wednesday night in a challenge with Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
Barca have yet to confirm the extent of Rafinha’s injury, although Coach Luis Enrique did acknowledge it was serious when speaking after the 1-1 draw.
Marca add that with recovery time included, Rafinha’s best hope of playing again this season will be near the end of the campaign.
