Luciano Vietto was delighted to make his first Atletico Madrid start in the Champions League win over Galatasaray.
Vietto was part of surprise XI, joining Antoine Griezmann and Jackson Martinez as Diego Simeone went for a 4-3-3 formation.
“I thanked my teammates for their confidence. I hope to keep getting minutes and continue being part of the team,” Marca reports Vietto telling Bein Sports after the match.
“It was a hard opponent at a tough stadium. The victory is very important. It builds confidence. We hope to continue like this and get past the group stage.”
