Court asks Bartomeu for Neymar defence

The Court of Barcelona has asked the club, President Josep Maria Bartomeu and his predecessor Sandro Rosell for written defence over the Neymar case.

Reports from Spain, originating via Catalunya Radio, say the investigation into the signing of the Brazil forward has moved from the National Court in Madrid.

AS notes Bartomeu had previously suggested he expected the case to end once it moved but the opposite has happened, and the investigation continues with the current President drawn further in.

Sport adds likewise, although El Pais say Barca were not surprised by the development. The parties have 20 days to comply with the Court’s order.
