Barcelona could have Gerard Pique available against Atletico Madrid as they consider appealing his ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Pique is in the middle of a four-game caution for a sending off in the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana, having allegedly directed a foul-mouthed tirade at an official.
The player denies what he is reported to have said and Sport claims Barca are thinking about taking the case to CAS, on the basis that none of the officials could have heard what they claim Pique said.
Should La Blaugrana decide on that course of action, and CAS be unable to hear the case before the end of the week, then Pique would be able to play against Atletico as an injunction would effectively be granted.
