VdB ‘not bothered’ by Pique partying

Spain Coach Vicente del Bosque insists he is not “bothered” by Gerard Pique's partying antics after the defender was chided on his way home from a nightclub.

The Barcelona stopper, who was the subject of more booing during La Roja's 2-0 win against Slovakia in Euro 2016 qualifying on Saturday, drew the ire of passers-by when he was seen partying at a nightclub in Gijon later that evening.

However, Del Bosque has made it clear that he gave Pique and his fellow internationals permission to hit the town after their match against the Slovaks.

“Pique was allowed to go out, it doesn't bother me,” he told Cadena COPE.

“[David] de Gea is fit to play. I don't know whether he'll play [against Macedonia], but he's ready.

“I believe in playing centre forwards and we must seize the good players we have in that position.”
