David de Gea is reportedly furious with Manchester United for the collapse of his transfer to Real Madrid and will not extend his contract.
According to AS and the Sun, the goalkeeper believes the Red Devils deliberately drew out negotiations until the very last moment.
De Gea's agent Jorge Mendes is understood to have advised him to sign a new deal with United so he can be assured of regular football this season.
However, the pair are believed to be in disagreement, leaving his United prospects in tatters, despite the club picking him for their Champions League squad.
It now remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will be reintegrated back into Louis van Gaal's first-team plans once he returns to Manchester next Wednesday.
