Pedro: Mou different in person

Former Barcelona winger and Chelsea new boy Pedro Rodriguez has admitted that his new boss Jose Mourinho “is very different in person”.

The duo were rivals when the 27-year-old played for La Blaugrana and the Coach managed arch-rivals Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, but they have since been brought together at Stamford Bridge.

“Mourinho is very different in person,” Pedro told Marca.

“I've changed my opinion of him. He treats you like one of his own, in terms of value, respect and how much he asks of his players.

“It was very hard to leave Barca because I was born and raised there. I've never celebrated a goal against Barca and it's thanks to them that I've achieved what I have.

“The La Masia model hasn't changed, although it's now harder [for a graduate] to play.

“I released a lot of steam when I scored in Tbilisi [the UEFA Super Cup] because I knew I was leaving.”
