Guerra, Hernandez to Rayo

Rayo Vallecano added two new players to Paco Jemez’s squad late on transfer deadline day, snapping up Javi Guerra and Pablo Hernandez.

Marca confirms the double swoop, Guerra joining from Cardiff City and Hernandez from Al-Arabi.

Hernandez was previously on the books at Swansea City and has also represented Valencia, Cadiz and Getafe.

Guerra meanwhile ends an unhappy spell in Wales that was cut short by a January loan move to Malaga and comprised of only six appearances for the Bluebirds.

The 33-year-old has also turned out for Cadiz, Valencia, Granada, Alaves, Levante and Valladolid in a journeyman career.

Guerra adds to Jemez’s attacking options after a summer that saw Lass Bangoura, Miku and Manucho all leave Vallecas.
