Madrid to take De Gea deal to FIFA?

Real Madrid will reportedly appeal to FIFA over their failed move for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

It’s been claimed that the paperwork for De Gea’s switch to Santiago Bernabeu was as much as 30 minutes late, with midnight the cut-off for incoming transfers in Spain.

AS cite Cadena Ser as reporting that Madrid feel they have the required proof that the transfer was completed a minute before midnight but it was impossible to send the documents to the LFP before 12am.

Madrid are said to hope FIFA will overrule the LFP and confirm the transfer, but as it stands the LFP are not budging on their position that the deal wasn’t done in time.
