Madrid have De Gea proof?

After it was reported David De Gea’s move from Manchester United to Real Madrid collapsed as the documents were late, it’s claimed Los Blancos can prove the opposite.

A report from Cadena Ser says Madrid have evidence of the transfer being completed timed at a minute before the deadline of midnight local time, not a minute after, as was claimed.

United were said to be late sending the relevant documents to the LFP, who, receiving the paperwork at a minute past midnight, refused to accept the deal.

Madrid were reportedly ready to present De Gea on Tuesday afternoon but the situation is up in the air – as is that of Keylor Navas, who was moving the other way and had a medical for United in Madrid.

The Navas deal could wait until Tuesday as the window for English clubs lasts an extra day, due to Monday being a Bank Holiday.

Carrusel Deportivo say UEFA will confirm where De Gea, Madrid and United stand in the morning.

A Sky Sports reporter has also added that United believe they were on time in getting their part of the formalities completed and with the League.

Other reports from England echo the same sentiments and believe United’s paperwork was ratified by FIFA’s TMS system that processes transfers.

A further addition to the saga comes with reports that United did send the documents confirming the transfer before midnight, but they were in a format Madrid were unable to open.
