Fran Escriba is ready for a difficult challenge to his Getafe side from Sunday opponents Granada. ‘Their squad has great quality.’
Escriba was asked by reporters about how he would approach the match but declined to provide too much information, but did confirm Alvaro Vazquez is close to a return.
“The team is fine. We started the season with a defeat but the feelings haven’t been bad, just the result,” he said, AS reports.
“We’ve worked well in the week and we look forward to the match and winning. Alvaro is ok. He had no problems after training.
“I never give clues to rivals. I usually do make a change to the team. I don’t repeat selections because I like that everybody feels they could play.
“Granada come from a bad result like us and they to want to reverse it. They’ve worked on where they failed. If you look at their squad, they have great quality. We’ll have to do things very well.
“I don’t know of any interest in Vazquez. There’s a lot of rumours these days. I always same the same – if the offer is good for the club and the player, as a Coach I won’t object.”
