Eduardo Berizzo was happy with the way Celta Vigo made use of having an extra man for much of their win over Rayo Vallecano.

Rayo goalkeeper Tono was sent off early in the match and Nolito got his first shortly after, later adding a second before Andreu Fontas’ late third.

“We’re happy with the match in general,” Berizzo said, Marca reports.

“It’s fair to say that having a man more for 80 minutes is a considerable advantage. But still, we moved the ball well and always looked for the second goal.

“We went out to play the second half with that idea, scored and decided the game.”

Berizzo was asked if he expected any new arrivals at Balaidos before the close of the transfer window, and responded diplomatically.

“At the moment there is nothing new. There’s still tomorrow and we’ll see,” he said.

“If someone comes, then good, if not then we focus on getting the best out of the players we have.”
