Sevilla want to keep Suarez

Sevilla don’t plan on letting Denis Suarez – on loan from Barcelona – join Villarreal instead, reports say.

Sport claim the Yellow Submarine are willing to pay €3m to sign the midfielder, who has fallen out of favour at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Suarez is in the second year of a two-year loan from Barca and though he started off in the team last season, the form of Ever Banega denied him of regular minutes.

The former Manchester City starlet wasn’t involved in the UEFA Super Cup – against Barca – or Sevilla’s first League game of the season, against Malaga.

But it’s believed Sevilla would only let him go if they signed a player of a similar style, and with their resources targeted on striker Fernando Llorente, that’s not likely.
