It’s claimed that Fabio Coentrao will choose a loan move to Monaco over a switch to Inter as he prepares to leave Real Madrid.
Inter and Monaco were said to be the two teams competing for the left-back’s signature and AS reports the Ligue 1 club have all-but won the fight.
It will be a one-year loan deal and could be announced later on Wednesday, with Monaco set to sell Layvin Kurzawa to Paris Saint-Germain, creating a gap in the squad to be filled by Coentrao.
