Malaga ‘bothered’ by Darder talk

Malaga director general Vicente Casado has discussed Sergi Darder’s proposed exit from the club, complaining of the manner it was handled.

Darder at one point looked bound for Lyon, only for the transfer to break down, and Casado has discussed what happened with 101TV.

“I was bothered by the attitude of the clubs that speak first with the player and then negotiate with the club,” he complained, AS reports.

“That’s prohibited by FIFA. We didn’t get any offer of €10m. He isn’t for sale. We have half of the player and it’s hard to see him going.

“The sale of Samu hurt because it was necessary. There was no other solution. We sold three players for €24m and we’ve signed six. The debt was about €30m and now it’s €15m.”
