Emery disappointed with ‘loss of control’

Unai Emery could not hide his disappointment with Sevilla's “loss of control” during Friday's opening-day stalemate with Malaga in La Liga.

The Andalucian derby at La Rosaleda ended goalless, with Los Nervionenses' new boy Steven N'Zonzi sent off for two bookable offences, and the Coach admitted after the game that the result was the fairest outcome.

“We did some positive things, some not so,” he told reporters.

“We started both halves well, but our chances of winning seemed to decrease as the match went on.

“We didn't find success [in front of goal] and gradually lost control. They approached our box but we learned to suffer.

“We still must work on establishing our foundations and then build on them.

“We failed to control our emotional impulses [referring to Steven N'Zonzi's red card], but overall, without being happy with just a point, we must say the draw was fair.”
