Iborra renews at Sevilla

Sevilla have extended the contract of midfielder Vicente Iborra until 2020, and the player has spoken of his happiness at Nervion.

Iborra moved to Sevilla in 2013, leaving Levante, and revealed after putting pen-to-paper that he appreciates how comfortable he is at his in his current surroundings.

“[My family and I] have been very happy since the day we arrived. When I left Valencia it was the first time I had been out of my region and both the club and the fans welcomed me with open arms, with a special fondness,” he told the club’s official website.

“I hope to feel that for a long time. It’s been two very intense years. I knew I was coming to a big club in Europe and the world but it’s only when you come here that you really realise how big.

“Now we have to work, maintain our confidence and achieve the same or more as we have in the last two years, to continue making history.

“I want to keep dreaming, to keep doing important things with the club. Sevilla is growing fast and I want the club’s success to be mine.”
