Moyes takes La Real to task

David Moyes reportedly cancelled a Real Sociedad day off and ordered extra training as a result of the performance in a friendly with Real Zaragoza.

Zaragoza won 3-0 with all of the goals coming as a result of defensive lapses and Mundo Deportivo reports Moyes reprimanded his players following the defeat.

The repercussions didn’t stop there as he called them in to training on Monday, which was originally set as a free day.

Moyes has criticised his squad in his short tenure at Anoeta, including after a draw with Almeria that Mundo Deportivo says left him particularly unimpressed.

It’s suggested that Moyes has changed his plan for the opening League game, against Deportivo La Coruna, as a result of the Zaragoza defeat, and some players who were to be involved will now see their roles reduced.

Moyes has also signalled unhappiness with the President and sporting director at the club after calling for further signings despite both Jokin Aperribay and Loren declaring the squad to be closed.
