Nicolas Otamendi has reportedly informed Valencia that he is not in the right frame of mind to train with the side.
The defender’s future has been the subject of intense scrutiny all summer, with Manchester United now likely to divert their attentions to the Argentina international following the collapse of negotiations for Sergio Ramos.
According to Cadena COPE, Otamendi told Valencia Coach Nuno Santo that he could not train as his head was elsewhere due to the ongoing speculation.
The former Porto and Atletico Mineiro man is also likely to be left out of Los Che’s squad for the first leg of their Champions League playoff against Monaco next Wednesday.
