Juan Manuel Vargas is set to join Real Betis and has spoken of his excitement at the move to the Primera new boys.
Mundo Deportivo report Vargas will on Monday complete the formalities of his free transfer signing after his Fiorentina contract expired.
“I’m looking forward to playing for Betis. I hope to have a great year and to play regularly,” AS quotes the Peru international as saying.
AS add that Vargas is to sign a two-year contract with the option for a third year, becoming Betis’ eighth signing of the summer.
