A deal has been struck that will see Spanish public broadcaster RTVE air one live La Liga game on each matchday.
The agreement also sees a tie from every round of the Copa del Rey – barring the final – to be shown live by RTVE’s television arm TVE.
Consequently, La Liga becomes the only ‘top five’ League out of themselves, the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 to broadcast free-to-air football.
According to Marca, RTVE and La Liga intend to become partners in supporting and promoting Spanish football around the world and view this latest venture as testament to their commitment.
