Manchester City are casting admiring glances towards Atletico Madrid centre-back Diego Godin, according to reports from Spain.
AS say Manuel Pellegrini has identified the Uruguay international as the player to build his defence around, with Godin’s experience in mind.
It’s also claimed Godin’s agent, Paco Casal, has been touting the ex-Villarreal man around City, particularly to higher-ups Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano, although the pair don’t want to circumvent Atleti if they make an approach.
