Las Palmas unveil Willian Jose

Willian Jose has vowed to do all he can to fire Las Palmas to La Liga safety at their first attempt.

The 23-year-old, a former Real Madrid loanee, fired home 10 goals in 38 appearances for Real Zaragoza, who were ultimately pipped to the top flight by Los Amarillos in the playoff final.

“I’m happy to wear the Las Palmas jersey and I hope to have a good campaign in order to help the team achieve their objective of staying in the top flight,” he said at his official presentation on Monday.

“I promise to work hard for my teammates and believe Sergio Araujo and I are a good match.”

Willian Jose has signed a season-long loan with Las Palmas from Uruguayan club Deportivo Maldonado.
