Ivan Rakitic has played down the impact of Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina in International Champions Cup on Sunday.
La Blaugrana fell to their third straight, pre-season defeat at the Artemio Franchi, but the midfielder insists “we could’ve scored four or five goals” and that his team will win when it matters.
“We could’ve scored four or five goals,” he said after the game.
“I’d rather we didn’t score [that many] here and do so next week, when the serious work starts.
“We always want to win, that’s the most important thing, but I think we played very well.
“We still have to work out some details, of course, but that’s what pre-season is all about.”
