Bayern join Pedro chase?

Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez as a replacement for Franck Ribery.

It was Pep Guardiola, the current Bayern Coach, who blooded Pedro in the Barca first team and Mundo Deportivo cite reports from Germany that say the trainer would like to be reunited with his protégé.

There are concerns over the fitness of Ribery and also Arjen Robben, with Ribery struggling to the point that it’s claimed he has considered retirement.

It’s not believed Bayern have made an official offer for the Spain international but Pedro is looking to leave as he won’t get much playing time should he remain at Barca.

The presence of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez means the forward positions are locked up and Pedro wants to guarantee involvement in Euro 2016.

Manchester United have been strongly linked to Pedro, while Bayern’s name is in the mix despite the Germans having signed Douglas Costa from Shakhtar Donetsk.
