‘Maybe De Gea wants to leave United’

Louis Van Gaal has admitted David De Gea’s situation at Manchester United is ‘not favourable’ as he may want to leave for Real Madrid.

The former Barcelona Coach was speaking after his United side were beaten in a pre-season friendly against Paris Saint-Germain, De Gea playing the first half of a 2-0 defeat.

According to the BBC, De Gea won’t leave United without Sergio Ramos moving in the other direction, but reports in Spain say Ramos is to sign a new contract at Santiago Bernabeu.

“We have a situation that is not favourable for David De Gea, neither for us and neither for the club that, maybe, he wants to go,” Van Gaal is quoted as saying by the broadcaster.

De Gea’s United contract is set to expire in the summer of 2016 and the Premier League club have this summer signed Argentina international Sergio Romero, and also have Victor Valdes on their books.
