Eduardo Berizzo believes losing Nolito to Barcelona would be a heavy blow, but insists the forward will only leave if his escape clause is met.
Noltio was mooted as a possible replacement at Camp Nou for Pedro Rodriguez, with it reported that Luis Enrique remained a fan of the Spain international after working with him in his year at Balaidos.
“If someone pays the clause, we look for a replacement,” Berizzo said, Mundo Deportivo reports.
“It’s the same with any other player. It would be a major loss and would require a major search. Sometimes a replacement involves a new dream.
“The players we have signed have been to make the team better. Anyone who leaves, we’ll look in the market for a replacement.”
MD add that Nolito’s escape clause is set at €18m.
