Andres Iniesta believes Barcelona’s pre-season preparations have offered reasons to be positive ahead of the new season.
The midfielder was speaking after La Blaugrana lost a friendly to Chelsea on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the 90 minutes.
“There are positive things and others to improve, as always early in the season,” Iniesta said, AS reports.
“We’ll continue trying to prepare in the best way through training and matches and, beyond results, I think we should be positive.
“Once we’re home we’ll continue to prepare for what’s next. It’s important.
“The worst news is Douglas’ injury. It’s difficult because he was playing well and we hope he returns soon.
“We have 20 days of training and everything must be increased because we’re competitive games start soon. It all serves to prepare you and we want to reach the best condition.”
