Enrique Cerezo has confirmed that Atletico Madrid are in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta.
The Italy international, who was born in Brazil and spent an injury-ravaged spell at the Vicente Calderon in 2007-08, is considered the final piece of the Atleti jigsaw for next season, and the President is confident that a deal will eventually be agreed.
“[Motta] is a player who interests us,” he was quoted as saying by Marca.
“All negotiations take their time, in this case longer [than they should], but we’re working on it.
“[On Filipe Luis], we must be patient, but I think it’ll turn out fine.”
