Ter Stegen ‘doesn’t like Madrid’

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has spoken about Barcelona’s rivalries with Real Madrid and Espanyol, revealing he ‘doesn’t like’ Los Blancos.

The Germany goalkeeper was speaking at a UNICEF event, at which he was joined by Andres Iniesta, as Barca prepare for the new season in Los Angeles.

“Madrid is a team I don’t like much, and the rivalry with Espanyol is great for a team in the same city,” Ter Stegen said, AS reports.

“There’s a lot of respect. The games against them are very intense.

“It’s a pleasure to be here. We have a lot of responsibilities to children and I’m proud to have the UNICEF logo on my shirt. I always wanted to play football.”
