Filipe Luis & Motta boost for Atleti

Atletico Madrid are being tipped to move for Filipe Luis and Thiago Motta, with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain hinting either player can leave this summer.

The left-back has been linked with a return to Los Colchoneros after a disappointing first season with the Blues, despite their Premier League triumph.

“If Atleti want Filipe Luis, they’ll have to meet our valuation. If he leaves, we must find a replacement,” manager Jose Mourinho told Chelsea TV.

A fee of €15m has been mooted by Marca, effectively the same price Chelsea paid for the Brazilian last summer.

Meanwhile, Motta could be signed for a cut-price fee as a direct replacement for Mario Suarez, given his contract expires at the end of next season and Coach Laurent Blanc’s latest admission.

“We know the position of both the player and club are incompatible,” the PSG trainer was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

“Motta won’t play [against Benfica]. He’s not in the right frame of mind.”
