Granada have landed goalkeeper Andres Fernandez from Porto on a season-long loan.
The 28-year-old moved to Estadio do Dragao for €2.5m from Osasuna last summer but played just four matches in 2014-15.
Despite the departure of fellow shot-stopper Fabiano to Fenerbahce, Iker Casillas’ arrival from Real Madrid has once more closed the door on first-team recognition for Fernandez.
However, no notion of a permanent transfer has been disclosed by Granada or Porto.
Fernandez will compete with Oier Olazabal and Roberto for the No 1 jersey at Los Carmenes.
