John Guidetti has revealed his excitement at joining Celta Vigo and says he cannot wait to experience his first Galician derby.
The former Manchester City striker, 23, arrived at Balaidos on a free transfer over the weekend, fresh from firing Sweden to a maiden European Under-21 Championship.
“Of course I know [new teammate Iago] Aspas. His return is important for the club. It’s a privilege to play with him,” he said.
“[Eduardo Berizzo is] a great Coach. I’ve also played in derbies and I think they’re special games. I’m looking forward to the Galician derbies and winning them.
“My mission is to score goals, but you [the fans] will soon discover what else I can bring to the team on the pitch.
“The way to make people believe in you is to believe in yourself first. I always give 110 percent.
“I’ve come to a great team. Thanks to all of you [who attended] and Hala Celta!”
