Spain drop out of top ten

Spain have dropped out of the top ten positions in the latest edition of the FIFA World Rankings.

Despite winning both of their two June fixtures, a friendly against Costa Rica and a Euro 2016 qualifier against Belarus, La Roja have slipped from tenth to twelfth in the standings.

Argentina are the new number one ranked team, followed by world champions Germany and third-place Belgium.

Vicente Del Bosque’s team meanwhile have been overtaken by the likes of Romania, England and Gareth Bale’s Wales, who enter the top ten for the first time.
