New Barcelona signing Arda Turan has thanked his former club Atletico Madrid for ‘four incredible years.’
The Turkish international moved to Vicente Calderon in 2011 and won the La Liga title, Copa Del Rey, Europa League, European Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup during his time as a Rojiblanco.
“It has been four incredible years,” Turan is quoted as saying on Atleti’s official website. “I have experienced very special moments at Atletico and I will never forget my teammates, the fans and everyone at the club.
“All I can say is thank you to everyone.”
In return, Atletico President Enrique Cerezo thanked the 28-year-old for his efforts.
“On behalf of Atletico Madrid, we thank him for all his efforts in defending our colours and we wish him a lot of luck in his next move,” Cerezo said.
